How far in advance should we send invitations for a gala or fundraiser?

For a gala or a major annual event, send a save the date about three months out, the invitation itself six to eight weeks out, and set the RSVP deadline two to three weeks before the date so you can give the venue a count. Volunteer events, open houses, and donor briefings work on a shorter runway of three to four weeks.

Can we use our organization's branding on the invitation?

Yes. Every design can be customized, including fonts, colors, photos, and layout, along with the envelope and its liner, so the invitation can carry your palette and imagery. If your team already has artwork from a designer or an agency, you can upload your own design and still use Greenvelope's delivery, guest list, and RSVP tools.

Can we ask guests questions when they RSVP?

Yes. Custom questions collect meal choices, dietary needs, table or seating preferences, the names of anyone attending in a guest's place, and anything else you need before the event. Answers sit beside each guest in your dashboard, and you can send reminders to only the people who have not replied yet.

How much do nonprofit invitations cost?

Greenvelope charges a flat one-time price starting at $19, set by guest count, with no subscription required and no per-guest charges. Organizations running several events a year often use an annual membership instead, which covers unlimited mailings for one year as long as each mailing is for a different purpose.

How does Greenvelope calculate people?

Each person (with or without email) added to the mailing list counts as (1) person. For example, "The Smith Family" of John, Jill, Tim, and Lauren would count as (4) people.

What if I'm unsure how many people we need?

In this case, we recommend purchasing a smaller package initially. You can then easily purchase additional people from within your mailing on an as needed basis.

Can we send in multiple batches?

Greenvelope allows you to resend invitations or send invitations to new contacts at any time.

What if we need multiple versions of the card?

The best way to set this up would be to have two different mailings. You will need to purchase a separate "single mailing" package for each version.

You can do that! One of the many benefits of digital invitations is that you can add additional information, update your card, or quickly follow-up with guests with ease.

Can we send a sample to ourselves?

Yes! When you arrive at the 'Send' step after designing your mailing, your account information will automatically be added so you can easily send yourself a test and make sure everything looks exactly how you want it.
